Multiple
music pieces may be started simultaneously
to allow for crossfades between different
pieces. Markers the musician can set within
the arrangement may synchronize this process.
Sound effects can be controlled either by
setting all parameters like volume, panning
manually or by using the musicians defined
default values. Even when using the 3D sound
API manual control over the parameters is
still possible.
Both music and sound effects can be freely
assigned to one of the master volume faders
at runtime, which makes it easy to control
the volume of a whole group of sound be
just fading one fader.
To minimize the amount of data needed to
be present at one time MusyX
packs its data into groups, which may be
loaded and unloaded using a stack structure.
